iVi Scents is only a few months old, and I have a strong feeling that it is going to change the soap game. Aarin Elizabeth is the owner of iVi Scents, and I think that she is AWESOME! She is very friendly, and knowledgable about what she is doing, and her customer service skills are unmatchable. She takes time to talk to her customers on twitter through out the day, and she answers emails quickly! I admire her because she is an entrepreneur, and she is making major moves, PLUS, her products are AMAZING!

I haven't had a chance to delve into everything that iVi Scents has to offer. In the last month she has added a spray, and a body oil which will surely be added to my next order. What I have tried are the ismell soaps, and the ishine sugar.

ismell soaps: Each and every one smells amazing. I have never used a soap that lathers the way that the ismell soaps do. They lather like a body wash, but they don't leave my skin dry. I remember a few years ago I tried a body wash from Olay that had lotion in it. It was very moisturizing, but it caused me to break out. The ismell soap leaves my skin feeling moisturized and soft like that body wash, minus the breakouts. My favorite moment with the soap was after I shaved my legs and underarms. I thought that it would burn when using the soap after I shaved, like any other soap, but I kid you not, It didn't burn at all, and that has never happened before!! I will never be able to go back to Dove, because there are absolutely no cons with these soaps.

ishine sugars: This was my first time ever using a sugar scrub, so I didn't know what to expect. I only had a sample, so I used it in on my legs, and after I rinsed it off my skin felt like butter!! It removed the dull skin, and left my legs glistening, and smelling oh so good! The smell stayed with me the next day. So, I ended up ordering 3 :-)

I can’t believe that I am going to tour another college today. After all of the riff raff that I’ve gone through to get into The University of Alabama, I am going to visit UAB tomorrow. I even did an application, and paid a $30 application fee. I’ve been very tight with my money lately, but for some reason it is still disappearing. Any who, I just feel like I NEED to check out at least one other school to make sure I am making the right decision. If I like UAB, and what they are about then I’ll try to go there, but if not UA is where the heart is. There are pros and cons for both schools. I just don’t know. Ugh! I feel a bit iffy, but this is something I have to do for me. It must be done!

Late Night Special

Its almost 5 in the morning and I’m still up. WTF??? ugh! I think I have a sleeping disorder. I’m still thinking about school and going away and everything. I’m excited, so excited that I can’t stop thinking about it to go to sleep like a normal person. I’m going to do a little bit of dorm shopping this weekend, mostly for storage type things since it is on sale. I think I’m going to wait and talk to my future roommate before I get a comforter and stuff, because I will not be able to tolerate a tacky room. I also plan on getting the new 5th generation iPod nano this weekend. My iPod nano is 2nd generation, and its time to get a new one. I’m going to get the pink one. It has a video camera on it, which is so cool! I’m going to save up my money so that I can get the camera that I want instead of just settling for one. I know I did a long post about cameras, but I really want the Cyber shot h20, so I’m going to save up for it and hopfully I’ll have it by Christmas.

I received my University of Alabama acceptance letter last Tuesday, and since then my mind has been in over drive. I’m pretty sure about 20 more of my hairs have turned gray. I’ve got to make good grades while I’m in school over here, and plan for moving in January. I have to find out what dorm I’ll be staying in, and buying stuff for the room. I’m not going to go over board. I’m just going to get what I need, and the basics. I’m going to start shopping for things this weekend because I know Walmart and Target have really good sales going on. I’m looking for the following:

Bed Comforter

Twin XL sheets (2 sets)

Storage (3 tier, plastic storage boxes, underbed storage)

Towels & washclothes

Everything else I’ll worry about as time progresses.

I’m excited about this new chapter in my life, although I’m a bit late, but better late than never! : )

Wake Me Up When August Ends

I went to GA this weekend to chill with my siblings while my parents went out of town for their 16 year anniversary. I had a good time with them, but now its back to reality. I’m going back to work, finally!! I went to my job on Monday of last week, and pointed out that I want to work, and I really need the hours, so I’m actually working three days this week, which is great since I haven’t worked since June, and during that month I only worked 2 days.

School has been getting on my nerves already, but I am determined to make the presidents list this semester, so I’m not going to over examine it all just now. I got into an argument Thursday with one of my friends, and I haven’t talked to him since then. I feel bad, but at the same time, I don’t. He is always being rude to me, and he always has something negative to say about everything I do. I could see if I was like that towards people, but I’m not. That is why I take offense to people always being hateful and negative. I am the type of person who chooses their battles, and Thursday he crossed the freakin line! He is the type that doesn’t really care about what I have to say, and thats fine, however I’m not just going to let it go this time. I’m sick!!!

Hopefully we’ll come to some type of mutual agreement, because this is getting ridiculous!! One week we’re cool, the next week we’re ready to fight!! I’ve known this friend for 18 yrs. We’re supposed to be best friends, but he doesn’t treat me like a best friend.

On another note, I deleted my myspace page!! lol. I’ve been talking about doing it for a while. I’ve had it since 2006, and I’m just tired of dealing with it. I like facebook and twitter way better.

School has started once again. My little break was less than two weeks, and I’m back at again. Tests, tests, and more tests. I’m so tired of taking tests!! lol. I am taking psychology, microeconomics, American literature, and Spanish. I have Spanish with two of my friends, so that should be interesting. I have class tomorrow, but I’m still up and wide awake for some reason. I am so mad because I’ve been trying to get my books since Friday. Friday morning I got up super early, and got in line. I ended up looking my spot because I had to go to class. After class the wait was like 2 hours, so I just said bump it! I went today, waited two hours, was inline with the books I needed, and the system shut down. I was so mad that I couldn’t get mad, if that makes any sense. I’m going to try again in the morning. They gave me some ticket that will allow me to jump in front of people when I get there. lol. I know somebody is going to be MAD. lol.

I’m hoping to accomplish a few things during the month of September. I need to get a new camera, a replacement emblem for my car, and some new shoes. I also need to get a new car battery, as well as renew my tag. Ugh! Its all good though. I may not have to renew my tag until October, but I can’t remember.

I Don’t Know What to DO!!!

Its almost 4am, and I just woke up my friend through a text message explaining that I needed advice. I was just sitting here, and all of a sudden I thought about the fact that I just may be rushing to The University too fast. Most community college students stay in community college for two years, but I have been wanting to go off to school so bad that I haven’t really taken into consideration the cost. Of course I know that school cost waaaay too much money and all, but University is different from JUCO. My pell grant isn’t going to cover everything, and leave some over for me. I would have to take out loans and all of that, and it still may not be enough. My friend (Serg) is supposed to be moving too, and he said that the same thing has been on his mind. MONEY. Trying to pay for all of these expenses. Gosh! If I wait until next year to transfer I will qualify for a transfer scholarship called Alabama’s Promise. It will guarantee that my tuition and fees are paid. I think that it is a great option. I just don’t know what to do. I want to leave this town so bad, but at the same time, I don’t want to trouble my parents with possibly having to take out a loan or something to help me pay for school, when I can just wait one more semester and start at UA during Fall 2010. I just don’t know.

It is almost 5am, I should sooo be asleep right now, but I can’t sleep for anything! I don’t know whats wrong with me. Does anyone know how to get better still images on YouTube videos?? They always choose the ones with my mouth open awkwardly, and I don’t appreciate it! lol. OMG…School starts Friday. I’m not looking forward to taking tests, and going back and fourth to class again. I have enjoyed my extremely small break. I think I may take next summer off. It just all depends on how my credits are looking at the end of next semester. I’m so ready to transfer its insane!! Hopefully I can post a MOACS video tomorrow!!

HEEEEY!! I feel like I’ve been gone for a minute! Right now I’m in the process of completely reorganizing my room, which includes emptying all of the drawers, and deciding what I do and don’t need. I am so excited because as far as I know, I will be in Tuscaloosa in January, and I simply can’t wait!! I am going to continue with my Youtube videos, but since I am getting a new camera, I will be borrowing my relatives cameras : ). I plan on getting myself a new camera sometime next month! I also plan on buying me some new shoes, and maybe a pair of jeans, definitely some jewelry, and the crest whitening system, and some makeup!! I also need a few other things, but I’m only spending as little as possible. I still need to get ready to move and all of that goodness. WELL, I’m sitting here in these flexi rod rollers looking crazy, and trying to avoid the rest of my room, but it must be done, so Toodles!!

Positive & Negative

Sometimes, I swear I am loosing my mind!! I am a positive person, I really am, but sometimes I can have the most negative thoughts, and it scares me. I know exactly what I want to do, and there is this smaller fragment of my mind that tries to lure me in other directions. What is up with that?? Am I the only one that suffers from this? Hmph! Well, that little negative chick inside my head has got to go! I’ve come to realize that the only person that can detour my plans, and even my way of thinking is myself. I’m not even going to front, I think very highly of myself. Why shouldn’t I? I love my skin, my hair, my body, my eyes, my lips, and my smile. There are things that I want to change about myself such as my weight, but that will occur overtime. Until that happens, I simply refuse to bash myself. My current situation has really had an impact on my positivity. I don’t have a real job, and I’m always without money!! It is really really REALLY frustrating! I can’t do the things that I want to anymore. I can’t just up and go to the movies, or buy something that I want anymore. It has almost been a year since I quit the depot, and I’m not even going to lie, I miss the money. If they called me offered me another job or something, would I accept it?

NO! Money is the root of all evil! I’m in school, yes I am broke, but I am in school. In 2012 when I graduate from college I will be able to enter into my chosen career. If I would have stayed at the depot, in 2012 I would still be there getting paid by the hour. I don’t want that. I know that I don’t. It has just been a tough adjustment. I was going to stick with the depots plan. Go to school, then become a diesel mechanic, but that's just not what I want to do. I went from having a steady paycheck, to going from job to job, and now I have a job that I don’t get any hours. There is a glimmer of regret, but that glimmer is over powered by the feeling that I am on the right path.

Hopefully everything will work out right, and I will be at The University of Alabama in January like I have planned. I’m trying to remain positive, and shoot these negative thoughts to the curb. What can I say? I’m just a college student!! lol. I know I went in a million directions with this one, but just something's that have been on the brain.

I Need a New Camera

I love the camera that I have now! Its a Fujifilm camera, and it is bright orange. It takes ok pictures, but now that I have discovered that I LOVE taking pictures, and making videos, it just isn’t cutting it for me. So, I’m in the market for a new camera, and I’ve been looking at Sony Cyber shots. They are so nice!! I would love to get one next month! I am torn between getting a new camera, new cell phone, or a new iPod, because I need to upgrade all three. I’ve decided that I will for sure be getting a new camera. I’ve blogged about all of the cell phones I want (more to come), but my need for a new iPod may surpass that. I have a 4GB iPod, and it is FULL! My iTunes library will not fit on it anymore!! BUT, I could just remove the songs I don’t listen to often from the iPod, because I only listen to it in my car now. Hmmm…Techno decisions…

Happy Sunday!! I hope that everyone’s day was as great as mine! I attend Word Alive International Outreach, and for the past few years they have been working on connecting the youth ministry with the sanctuary, and forming what is called The Connection. The building is amazing, and the people that I attend church with are even more amazing. I went with my friend Sergio, and we had a good time. It was his first time going, and he wants to go back this Saturday, and Sunday as well. I feel great!! I took pictures, and created a little five minute or so video of The Connection. I have a strong feeling that this building is going to have a strong impact on our community. It is going to be a positive environment, and includes a cafe, and a gym area.

T-Mobile Samsung Behold

I will be able to upgrade my phone on October 5th, and I’m so glad!! I’ve blogged about the Samsung Memoir, as well as the G2, and here is another phone I am looking at as well. It is the Samsung Behold, and it is the older, but shorter sister to the Samsung Memoir. It only has a five megapixel camera. I have actually played with this phone, and I liked it. The only thing that would keep me from getting it is that my uncle has it. I want to be different! lol.

It comes in two colors, brown and rose (pink), but pink is the only one that matters!!

Harry Potter

I am late on reviewing this movie, but I felt like it had to be done because I love Harry Potter so much! I have been a fan since the 4th grade. I’ve read all of the books, and I’ve seen all of the movies that have been released a zillion times. I actually went to see HP6 twice. The first time I went was the midnight showing on the opening day, and I went that Saturday as well.

I noticed from the beginning that they had chopped certain parts up, and added certain things. I think the creators of this movie could have done a much better job in showcasing the book. There were certain characters that they did not introduce that should have been, and major events that were cut out. I read HP6 back in 2005, and I am in the process of rereading it now. The more I read, the angrier I get about how much they left out, as well as how much they added. If I had was just a person who watched the movies I would give the movie 5 stars. The actors and actresses were awesome! The effects were on point, and they created the Harry Potter world as anyone could imagine it. Since I have read the book, I would give it a 2/5. They really could have stayed true to the book. I hate that they didn’t because it would have been off the chain!! The movies are really made for the people that don’t read the books, because for some reason I’m always disappointed by the movies. My mom is also a huge Harry Potter fan (she bought all of the books, and I would read them when she wasn’t :P) she thought the movie sucked!

My favorite scenes the movie where when Katie Bell was cursed, when Harry & Dumbledore went to the cave, and oddly, when Dumbledore died. When Katie Bell rose into the air, it was just like I imagined it when reading. It sent chills down my spine! Now, when Harry & Dumbledore went into that cave I thought that it would be a boring scene, but when Dumbledore set the water on fire I almost jumped out of my seat!! IT WAS OFF THE CHAIN!! Lastly, when Dumbledore died I cried. I can’t even lie. My friends were like “What the hell?” But I don’t care! They did a good job with that scene, even though in the book Dumbledore froze Harry. Ya’ll know Harry doesn’t listen!! He would have murked Malfoy if he wasn’t frozen. Either way, as a true fan, I will be probably go see the movie one more time after I finish reading the book again, and then patiently wait for the DVD to come out.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be released in two parts. Part one will be released November 2010, and part two will be released July 2011. They just tryna make more money!

I know that I said I was going to lust over the Samsung Memoir, but this phone just seems so much better. It doesn’t have an 8 megapixel camera, but it is similar to the iphone. I have been wanting an iphone, but I’m not willing to switch networks right now. The phone is very nice looking, and I wouldn’t mind getting it since its almost time for an upgrade. I’ve had this Rokr for too long!! Hopefully it won’t be over $200 for an upgrade, because if it is, then I’ll have to leave it where its at! : )

Wake Up! Wake Up! Its the First of the Month!

I woke up feeling oh so good this morning. This week has been crazier than most. I don’t know if it was something in the air, but for some reason everyone around here has been arguing!!! Its all good though. I’m not going to stress the minor things. Today I have been in the house enjoying my own company. I’m tempted to turn my cell phone off and fall off the face of the earth for the next few hours, but that would be a bit extreme, right??? Well, I just washed my hair, and I’ve decided that I am over these brown highlights, so I am going to go back to black in September. I miss my hair being one color. I got highlights in May 2008, and they have grown out pretty fast. On a more random tip, I love my glasses!! lol. {Nerd}

Old Gold

About two weeks ago I was playing around, and ended up creating a look that I liked using MAC Old Gold pigment. I got it as a sample about a year ago. A sample goes a long way. I wasn’t going anywhere, I was just bored! lol. I also used Saddle, and Naked Lunch, and CG Lash Blast Luxe mascara, and Oh Baby! on my lips. Please excuse the brows. I’m growing them out to change the shape of my arch.

Oh What a Day!

Today was ROUGH! Do ya’ll hear me? My car quite on me like five times, and even quite in a median!! SCARY!!! What makes it so bad, but funny at the same time, is that people were stopping, and my aunt was one of the people who happened to be coming through the median and stopped too! lol. My car is pretty old. It is a 1997 Toyota Camry. Everyone thinks its the alternator or the battery, or maybe both. I don’t know a thing about cars! I know that I was just trying to get home from school and the car was acting a hot mess!!! I had a test today, and it kicked my @$$! I wish I had a different teacher for this class or something, because this lady is loony! She was talking dirty to a microscope, and oh did it disturb me!! I was so happy to get out of that classroom, but my car was acting a mess! When I finally did get home I just sat outside for a little bit. My head was hurting, and so much was going through my mind. I have a job, but my hours have been cut back so bad to the point were I haven’t worked since JUNE!! I can’t afford to get my car fixed right now, and that really really irritates me. I finally ended up falling asleep and sleeping for a good 5or 6 hours. I woke up feeling a lot better!! I know that this stress is only temporary, and I’m not going to let it get me down.

Random Rambling: 07/24/2009

I love the summer, I really do, but I’m so tired of this heat!! In my house, the air condition is only turned on during the day, so at night I’m forced to sweat and try my best to cool off, that is why I’m always up so late! I’m taking biology this summer and it is really kicking my butt! I haven’t liked science since middle school, and it is my least favorite subject (next to math of course). I’ll be glad when it is over!! I still have to take one more science, so I will probably take that during the fall semester to get it over with! Other than school, there is nothing much going on in my life. There have been so many fights amongst my friends this summer and I only have a few that I consider friends. I don’t think that I should talk about that on the internet though. I’m trying to resolve all of the issues, but its tough. I haven’t worked in a while, knowing them I probably don’t have a job anymore. I’m just mad because I haven’t been able to shop!! I can’t wait until I can buy something!!! lol. I guess that is all for now. Hopefully my life will become a bit more interesting soon. :~)

My Life As Of June 2009

Right now I am in the process of figuring out what it is I really want to do. In the past few weeks I have taken a more proactive approach to actually making some big decisions. Somethings I know for sure, and others I am not so positive about. I know for sure that I will be attending The University of Alabama in January 2010. I was thinking about getting an apartment with two friends, but I am going down there to meet new people, and create new experiences, so I will be in a dorm!

I also know that I want to do an internship! It is apart of my degree requirement, but I'm looking at it as way more than that. I want to gain experience, and contacts. I have been inspired by many youtubers who are doing their thing in their fields! I want to intern in New York, and LA before I graduate. I know it is possible because, well, because I said it is! I have been exploring many options. There is the Intern Queen (internqueen.com) her company will help place the intern into an internship with coaching, and helping to develop their resume'. Another company is The University of Dreams (summerinternships.com) I heard of them a while ago, but now that I am actually in the market for an intership, they are looking like a good option. Their program is expensive, but it is all inclusive. The applicant is guarenteed an internship, housing, meal plan, transportation, and weekend activities. That is not bad! I do not want to go to another city with my head cut off not knowing what to do.

Most of this is just thoughts. and future options. I'm very excited for what the future holds! I'm excited, and passionate about my major, and I'm ready to make moves! I'm going to do what needs to be done, and hopefully enjoy this entire experience!!

Random Rambling: 5/31/2009

Sometimes I really do feel like I have been defeated. I am working at a place where I work maybe two days during a two week period. My last check was $106 for two weeks, and the one before that was $39. Now, the people I work with want to have attitudes when I don't come in, even though I scheduled off. Wow! I also have a speeding ticket for $179, and I don't even make that a month. I'm also getting behind on my bills, and I'm stressing. I felt defeated, but I know that God is good, and he's not going to give me more than what I can handle.

I am going to find a new job, and pay that ticket off, and try my hardest to pay my debt. I'll be moving in a few months, and I am excited, but I want to be prepared. I want to feel good, and know that I am doing the right thing! One of my best friends left for California yesterday to attend The Art Institute of San Diego. I have been nothing but motivated and inspired by him, and he makes me want to do better, and encourages better. Everything will get better. What does not kill me can only make me stronger.

Hey everyone!! I know that I have been M.I.A. for a minute, but not to worry. I've been at my moms house, and just taking things easy. I've been trying to figure out exactly what it is I am missing, and things that I want to improve. I'm also excited about continuing You Tube videos. I was going to remove them all, but I decided that I actually really like making videos, even though I haven't made one in a while...trust me, its because its time for me to get my eyebrows waxed!! lol. I'm also excited because I got my first MAC lipglass yesterday in Oh Baby. I love the color, and the smell! Tomorrow I plan on getting a concealer. and maybe a Dazzleglass or an eyeshadow. I'm on an extremely strict budget!! I hope everyone is having a blessed Memorial Day!!! This year is going by so fast!

The shipping was very fast. I placed my order on Monday, and got them Thursday!!! All of the brushes, minus the last one are from the Luna Series, the last is from the Studio Series. The only brush that shed & bled was the dual length powder brush. After the third wash it did stop bleeding, and it sheds every once in a while now. I definitley recommend these brushes!! I know that I will be ordering more!

Samsung Memoir

Right now I have the Motorola Rokr E8, and before that I had the Tmobile Shadow. I like the Rokr, but it is mostly a music phone, and since I have an ipod, I don't really use it. It is very laggy, and it freezes up too much for me, so I figured it was time to start lusting for a new phone. I heard about the Samsung Memoir a few months ago. It is carried by Tmobile, it is touch screen, and has an eight megapixel camera. I have had the music phones, the smart phones, and the plain phones, and I've noticed that all of them have sucky cameras. I guess its time for me to get a bomb ass camera phone!! I plan to have this by July, that is if nothing else catches my attention.

The Lord works in mysterious ways! On Friday, just when I thought my life was spinning out of control, I received a check in the mail from school, and I was able to get on track with my credit card bills. I also received a few more hours at work, and although I may not get any next week, maybe things will progress. I am looking forward to actually having money to spend on the things that I want to spend. I have been picking up a few things, and I placed an order for some crown brushes, so they should be here soon. I am also planning to either visit the MAC and Sephora stores, or place orders online. I know exactly what I want, and I am working on a budget. lol. I will not go over board like I did the last time I went over there. I really need to be doing my school work, but I am not in the mood! I really can't wait to go to The Summit, so that I can do just a tiny bit of shopping. lol.

CoverGirl Lash Blast Luxe

I went to Target today, and I decided to pick up CG's Lash Blast Luxe. I have the regular Lash Blast mascara, and I don't really care for it to much, so why did I get the Luxe? Impulsive buying!

Price: 7.49 at Target, and it came with a coupon for a free CoverGirl Eye Enhancers e/s.

Shades: This mascara is available in four shades; Black Platinum (840), Black Cabernet (845), Black Royale (850), Black Emerald (855). I purchased the Black Platinum shade.

What CG Says: "The blackest-black Lash Blast formula, now tinted with luxe shimmers. The giant Luxe brush helps blast lashes to their biggest, boldest, and most beautifully shimmering. In 4 shades that are ready to match your every mood."

What I Say: The product packaging is similar to its sister, Lash Blast, except it is pink. That is actually what attracted me to the mascara, because I love pink! I was surprised with this mascara because CG described it as "shimmery volumizing mascara," and we all know that a lot of times shimmery actually means glittery. I wore this mascara without any eyeshadow today, and I had no glitter fall out. If I did, I did not notice it at all. The shimmer didn't irritate my eyes or anything. It is not as shimmery as I thought it would be, but it is a nice, subtle shimmer.

It instantly gave volume to my lashes, but it did not give them much curl. Most mascaras don't curl my lashes, so I didn't get my hopes up. I really like this mascara because it gave me that instant volume that I was wanting. It didn't overly shimmer them, or look clumpy. A few people asked if I had on false lashes.

How does it compare to Lash Blast? Well of course, Lash Blast Luxe has a touch of shimmer. They are similar in packaging, and the wand it the same. It adds volume just like Lash Blast, but the consistency of the two are totally different. With Lash Blast I always have to wipe the wand off because the wand grabs way to much product. With this one I can just go straight to work because it doesn't come out gunky. Unfortunately this mascara (LB Luxe) is not water proof, and it may just be me, but it has a weird smell to it. It isn't bothersome, just not something I am used to after using Lash Blast for so long.

Overall I like this mascara. The only thing I am worried about is it not being water proof. Summer is getting close, and I do not want mascara running all down my face! So, I would give this a 4/5. I do prefer this one over the regular Lash Blast, because I don't have to wipe the wand off before hand (super lazy!) I'll probably do away with it when it starts getting hot, we'll see.

I decided that to keep up with my progress, I am actually going to start posting my looks and what not. I'm trying to progress, and like I've stated, for me, its all about learning, and becoming better acquainted (or obsessed) with the things that interest me the most. I guess this was considered yesterdays Eye Of The Day since it is after 12, but its all good.

Please excuse my eyebrows!!! I know they are challenged!

What I used:

Mascara: CG Lash Blast

You probably can't tell, but I used MAC Saddle to blend the outer eye, that eyeshadow matches my skin perfectly. I only have one brush right now, which is an all over eyeshadow brush from Sephora. It isn't really good for the things that I am trying to learn to do, so I am in the market for some new brushes.

I had fun with this look! Like I said, I'm still learning, so feel free to give me tips, and everything!!

I'm considering a set of brushes from Sigma Makeup. Enkore, MakeupByTiffanyD, and a few others on Youtube have done great reviews on the brushes, and they have said they are MAC comparable. The set is $64, which for all of those brushes, is a great deal! Especially on my student budget!

I also found out that the Sally's card is worth getting, it is $5 but, it brings the price of their China Glaze nail polishes from $5.99 to $3.25, which isn't bad at all! I can't believe that it is almost April! 2009 is flying by people!! Is everyone stills sticking to their New Year Resolutions? Come to think of it, I didn't create any this year. I guess I just got tired of setting up myself for failure. lol. I've been making goals as the year progresses, and I think that I like this method better, because I don't sit and think about the things that I am not doing. I just got back from a very long outing with my friends, so I guess I'm going to call it a night.

I have some hours for next week! YAY!!! Hopefully things continue to progress, because I am seriously on the verge of losing my mind! I still have to pay my state taxes, pay my credit card bill, and then put gas in my car. Everything else is on the back burner for now. I haven't even been able to get my hair done, but I have faith that everything will get better, and I will be able to take care of what needs to be taken care of, and then start enjoying things. I'm only working two days next week, but that is better than nothing! I actually like being there for the most part, so I don't mind going to work. My mom is also trying to help me out, which is another blessing that I am thankful for. I will remain positive, and I know that everything will fall into place when it is supposed to.

I decided that all I'm doing this summer is straight chillin! I'm only going to take two classes, and work part time. I'm going to spend time with my family, work on my goals, and just do me! I want to work on getting my money right, so my summer wishlist is pretty small. I plan on being casual for the most part, because there is NOTHING going on around here, and as of right now I don't have any travel plans, so that means flip flops, bermuda shorts, and a cute shirt will be my summer staples. I'm a very casual person! I will be upgrading my makeup collection this summer, especially with the new MAC collections coming out, can't wait for those!

went into Walmart to get a pack of printer paper, and came out nail polish. Oh what a shame! I went on the beauty isle just to "check out the polish" and ended up putting it in the basket. I figured I might as well try out some acrylic gel as well. I got "Stolen Kisses" from Nicole by OPI. I absolutely love this color! It cost $7 (ahhh!) but I am happy with it.

The Sally Hansen Hard As Wraps acrylic gel has been alright so far. I think that I could have left it at the store, because it
just feels and looks like any
other top coat. It was $3.

So Much Is Going On...

Sunday, a friend of mines lost her seventeen year old sister in a car accident. I went to school with her, and it feels so unreal. Our community has been so torn up about it. It is just so hard to believe that one minute someone could be there, and they can get taken away from you so fast. It has also been very hard to deal with because she was so young.

In February four girls were killed in a single car accident, when the vehicle they were in hit a tree. There was only one survivor.About two weeks ago, a thirteen year old girl was killed after she stole her mothers car, and flipped it. In December 2008 two sisters were killed in a single car accident, when the vehicle they were in hit a pole. There was one survivor in that accident as well. That is a total of eight teenage deaths in the past four months due to car accidents, in my area alone.

This is really bothering me. All of these accidents were caused by inexperience. Should teens start learning to drive earlier? People say that they should raise the legal driving age, but that would just mean that we have a bunch of twenty year old inexperienced drivers, right? All of these accidents could have been prevented. I don't know much about the girl stealing her mothers car, that may be a different story. These accidents are bizarre.

Everything that has happened has really made me sit back and think about the things that I am doing with my life. Tomorrow is not promised to me, and I know that I have let myself get stressed about stupid things. I'm going to try my best not to dwell on things that are irrelevant, and simply won't matter. I have been so sad these past few days, thinking about all of this. I really just needed to vent about it. It is like, "What's going to happen next?"

Her first album is going to be hard to follow, but with this first single I think she is bringing out the big guns. I've already made this song my ring tone! Sure did! Anyone who has ever been through a bad relationship (most of us) can identify with this song. The video on the other hand could have been better. The 60's theme is so overrated and dare I say, safe. The song makes up for it though, and I can't wait until the album drops!

The Dream - Love Vs. Money

Okay, I know I'm late with this review, but I decided better late than never! Everyone knows The Dream by now, and if you don't know him, you've been living under a rock since Summer 07. His first single "Shawdy is the sh!t" was the summer jam! His first album, "Love Hate" was a tough act to follow, with songs like "She Needs My Love", "Purple Kisses", "Playin in her Hair", "I Luv Your Girl" and so many more, that CD is still one of my favorites! OFF THE CHAIN! When me & My cousin went in pursuit of his new CD it was sold out everywhere! We found it though!

The CD flows so well! Sometimes you don't even realize that it has gone to the next song. I also feel like this is a continuation of his first CD, I guess because I just can't seem to let it go. Every track on this CD is off the chain!! We listened to it on the way to Georgia last night, and we stayed crunk. Every song is my favorite, so I will go with choosing my top 3 songs.

Product Review: FHI HEAT Flat Iron

I haven't had a relaxer since October 2008, so when my aunt presented my the FHI flati irons, I was kind of iffy as to how they would do on my hair.

Now, I have tried many flat irons...Andis, Conair, CHI, H.A.I., and many more, but these are the bomb! Like TICK TICK! They go up to 450 degrees, and the outer protection around the plates protects the scalp from the heat, so I was able to get close to my roots. I give these a 9.5/10! I was very pleased with the results!

Here is a before shot. I washed my hair, pulled it up and let it air dry the night before I flat ironed.

Here is the after shot. The only thing that I used was Palmers Olive Oil Hairdress, and Design Essentials Silk Essentials Oil.

It got way straighter than I thought it would, and I had that swang to my hair. The after picture was taken the night after I flat ironed, after class, enjoying a pretty day outside, and babysitting a 3 year old. I love this flat iron!

Keri Hilson - In a Perfect World

Happy Sunday everyone!! I am coming with my first music review, and this is one I just had to do! It is a review of Keri Hilson's (AKA MS. Keri Baby!) In a Perfect World. It officially drops March 24th, 2009, but the tracks are available for our listening pleasure on her music myspace page. I am honestly very impressed with this album! Sometimes it seems that artist promote one good song, and then you go and get the CD and it is pure garbage. Ms. Keri has not only had a few hits, but I'll go as far as to call "Energy" an anthem! Now we already know that she can write, but her vocals are far from mediocre. She put all of her skills into this CD, and you can tell that it was nursed. I first heard of her on TRL, and I thought she had a real cool personality, then she was on Rich Boys, "Good Things". She has also been on tracks with Timbaland and Nas, so she isn't playing any games!

This is the first Freshman album that I have ever heard that has so many big names on it! Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Timbaland, & Akon are all featured on her album. I haven't read the credits yet, but it sounds like Timbaland produced most of the songs. There are fourteen songs, including the into, and each one of them are hot. She definitley has some hit singles on this CD, and I can't wait until she puts them out there. My favorite song so far is "Make Love." She also has video to that song with Kanye West, which is very cute!

Keri Hilson is on the right track to becoming a superstar! She dissed one of R&B's Divas (still unsure as to whom it was..Beyonce', Ciara, IDK?), and then came out with a video/commercial with Kanye as the leading man. She knows what she is doing! I can officially say that I am a fan!

For the Love of Money

I called my job today, and they informed me that we won't have any hours next week either. I'm pretty much fed up, because its not like they are trying to help us out at all. It seems like they have an attitude about the whole thing, when the people that aren't making anything should be the ones with the attitudes. We're all trying to stay positive. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I have to figure out something soon because as of right now, I have no income.

I've been "constructing" this blog all morning (instead of studying), and I got to thinking "Where exactly am I going with this blog?" A blog is for people to express what they are thinking at the time, right? So I don't have to stick with one spectrum, so I'm not! One day I'll talk about whats going on with me, and that same day I can do a nail polish review or something. By the way, I have an obsession with that stuff! I just wish that I could make my right hand look as good as the left. There is so much going on with me right now, that trying to go in one direction would be a crime. So I won't! It is actually March 19th, 2009 as I type, but its only a little past 12, so I'm not stressing. lol. I was just up, and doing some thinking. First off, I have just realized that I have actually had readers. People were commenting, and I did not even know it. I just want to say thank you to anyone who is taking the time out of their day to read whatever I write about! I truly appreciate it!! It is different for me because I'm the type that usually keeps my thoughts to myself, and I am trying new things now, and I am so grateful that there is someone out there that cares enough to see what I have to say.

I have had this blog since August, and I know that I am not using it to its full potential. I am going to change that! I am going to continue doing what I have been doing, but also include some reviews, and other interesting tid bits. I'm thinking about maybe (a little maybe) starting some Vlogging on youtube, but I don't know. Blogging period has been a different spectrum for me, but trying new things keeps life so interesting!

Didn't I say this was going to be random rambling? lol. I'm really into deep thought about my goals and what not. I do know that I am going to get back to work on the Total Package Challenge that I have talked about before. I want to start sticking to the goals that I set, because I know that if I don't follow through with them, the only person that I have to blame is Jasmine Nicole (me!!). Times have been rough, but I feel blessed, and I know that I have control of the life I live. I am going to come up with a plan of action, and get this ball rolling! Let's get it!

Dick's Sporting Goods

Okay, so I've been working at Dick's Sporting Goods since November 2008. It has been a good experience, in fact, I'll go as far as to say it is the best place I have ever worked at. Up until January, it was great. Can ya'll believe I have only worked 6 hours there since January? It is March! I am broke, and I just hope that when I do get my hours back, that I have the gas to make it there. Everything this is terrible around here. No one is hiring, and people are getting laid off left and right. I'm not complaining, because I'm grateful to still have a job, but I am just frustrated because I can't afford to do anything. I bought a new computer for school, and I am kind of regretting my purchase. I know that I am not going to part ways with my computer, so I guess I'm just going to be broke for the time being. By the way, I didn't get a laptop. I ended up getting a desktop. Its hot though! Also, they changed the release date for The Sims 3 from February 20th, to June 2nd. I was so upset! But it is all good! Everything is Everything!!!

Another Addition to my Wishlist (Well, Two...)

Hey everyone! I've been doing some research, and I after much debating within, I think I really want a Dell Studio 15! They are customizable and very nice! I was thinking about a Toshiba, or an HP, but the Dell just makes me smile :) lol. It is going to cost a grip though, so along with my savings and financial aid I should be straight. I was going to try to get a laptop for like $600, but me being the way I am about computers, it wouldn't satisfy me. I was also thinking about a Macbook Pro, but I like the Imac so much better, but right now since I'm in school, and I need mobility I think the Dell Studio 15 would be great for me! Plus, The Sims 3 is coming out soon.

I want the tangerine color, with a 2.2GHZ Processor, 320GB HD, 4GB memory, backlit keyboard, fingerprint reader, bluetooth...yes, the works!! If I don't spend this money on a laptop it will just go towards food or something meaningless.

lol. It is a cute laptop, and I know it will make me happy :) My mom is going to have a fit when I tell her I'm paying over $1,000 for a laptop, but she will be ok!! A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do!

20th, 2009! It is my grandma's birthday, and it is the release of The Sims 3!! Fun Fun FUN!!! If all goes well, which it should, I'll have my new laptop, a desk, a computer chair, speakers for my laptop, and money left over to actually live by the time February 20th rolls around. The sims 3 is going to be awesome!! I can't wait to get my hands on it! I've already pre-ordered it at BestBuy, so that is going to make it great! The cover it self is just fantastic!! Well, if this is the real cover. Some say it may not be.

The End is Near...Well, at Least the End of the Semester

The end of the first semester of college is drawing to an end! I'm so glad! I am sure that my grades will turn out ok. I found out today that if I attend two more concerts for my music appreciation class, and make what I usually make on exams for the final, I'll come out of the class with an A. I plan on Aceing this final exam though. I get paid this week, finally. Ya'll, I am seriously BROKE. I don't have three cents to rub together. I have two, but thats no fun! Anyways, when I get paid this Friday I am going to have to make it STRETCH. I was wanting to get my hair done, but I finally decided that it would save me money in the long run to go ahead and invest in a hooded dryer, and some rollers, so that is what I am going to do. I also decided to Xmay my wishlist below. I don't have the funds to be a product junkie, so I am going to stick with what has been working for me. I will be using the Design Essentials line. This includes the moistuizing shampoo, stimulations moistuizing shampoo (a GREAT conditioner!), Design Essentials Leave-In, Silk Essentials Oil..Excellent!, and Design Essentials reflection spray. I need to restock on the conditioner and oil Friday. I also need to get some type of setting lotion. I will be getting a Gold N' Hot dryer, and some rollers this weekend. I also plan to try the Aphogee 2Min reconstructor, and I will definitley be revisiting an old favorite, ULI Leave in Conditioner. Yummy! I know, I'm just typing away, but I'm on campus, and I don't have another class until 12:45, so I'm Bored!!!

Attacking the Issues One Step at a Time

I plan to keep my job at Dick's for a long time. :) I'm confident that I will impress! Well, I've devised a plan to attack the issues I seem to be having in my life. Not mental or anything, just things such as hair, and keeping myself up.

Hair: There are a few products I would like to try, so I've made a list of the things that I know that I will use. I know my hair now, and I know what I need! So here is a wish list:

CoCasta Shikakai Herbal Hair Oil AKA "HairVeda's Liquid GOLD" - $11

This is way cheaper than what I have been using, which is great! Haircare is very important to me, so I really don't mind splurging on my hair.

Alter Ego Garlic Treatment Conditioner - $35 (Kind of expensive, but I've heard so many great things about it. My hair has been shedding a lot lately, so this is a must have!)

I would also like to try the hydratherma naturals products soon, I think I may just get the growth lotion first!

GREAT First day!

I started my new job today, and I only worked two hours, but it was two hours well spent! I got to work the register right on, which was cool. I did get a little nervous, and it is kind of hard remembering everything, but I'm sure I'll have it down packed soon!! I'm off Saturday, but I work Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Friday I'm working 10 hours because of Black Friday!! Then, that next Saturday I'm getting 8 hours. Before now I would have been complaining about these type of hours, but I'm taking as much as I can! I know that I have to get my money right, so I'm going to do my thing. I still don't know if I am just seasonal, heck, I don't even know how much I make an hour, but I guess anything is better than nothing. I am going to keep a positive attitude, keep a smile, show my personality, and show these people that I deserve to work there!!! I HAVE TO! :) I am sooo grateful to be employed again!!

Getting Back on Track

This entire week has been pretty stressful. In the end, it all came together though. Today I was hired at Dick's Sporting Goods, so I didn't have to go a full month being unemployed. I'm excited! I'll be getting some retail experience, finally. I believe I am seasonal, but hopefully if I prove myself worthy, I'll get hired permanent. This time I'm going to take control of my spending habits, and do what I REALLY need to do with my money. The new year is coming quick, and there are a lot of things I want to accomplish.

I really need to get back on track with my healthy hair journey. I have been dealing with a lot of shedding lately, which is scary. It usually sheds when the seasons change though. I'm going to take my hair back to black, no more high lights! In the coming weeks I also plan to try the http://hairveda.com products, as well as the Hydratherma Naturals products ( http://healthyhairjourney.com ) By this time next year I want full mid-back length, HEALTHY hair. That is the goal!

I also need a laptop computer. I'm sure I will receive my financial aid money, and tax returns by February, and this time I will not be wasting it! I will get me a good laptop, and wireless internet, and I will of course get The Sims 3, that is a must! I want to get an HP laptop. I thought about getting a MAC, but I think I'll wait until next year for that one.

As far as budgeting goes, I know I'll be getting paid every two weeks. I know I'm going to need gas, so I'll fill up ($50) and save an extra ($25) for the next week. I'll pay my credit card bills ($40) and pay my aunt for my prom dress... :) lol. ($50) Sooo, I should have a good bit left over, and I'll be able to save!! YAY!!

As far as school goes, I think I'll come out with pretty decent grades...BETTER than the ones I made in high school. lol. I still have to attend four concerts for my music appreciation class, and I don't know how I'm going to work that out considering that I'll be working!! But, where there is a will, there is a way. Next semester I plan on taking English 102, Psychology, Sociology, and Microeconomics.

I promised myself that I am going to make this job work for me! I'm going to provide excellent customer service, and try my best and give it 200%!!!!

The Pressure is ON!

HECTIC! That is the only word I can think of to describe my life right now. Last week I lost my job working at Hilton Head Guest Services as a telemarketer. There are negatives and positives to that. The major negative is that I'm BROKE! The positive is, I don't ever have to go back there. :). I have faith that I will find a new job soon enough.

School has also been a little rough. I can't seem to make any A's! I keep making high C's on my tests, so for finals I plan to bust A's on every single exam! I'm trying to make good grades, I really am. I made a 46 on my first history exam, and on the second I made a 78. Major improvement!! I emailed my teacher and asked about my grade, and I have a high C before the final exam, so I plan on making an A on that exam and bringing that grade up to a B. I'm doing soooo much better in college than I did in high school. So, if anyone ever tells you that you'll fail in college because of your high school ways, there is hope.

I recently applied to the University of Alabama. To transfer you must have 24 credit hours, and a 2.0 GPA. I'll have the 24 credit hours at the end of May, and better than a 2.0 GPA. Hopefully everything works out smoothly. I can't wait to see what happens with my hectic life! lol.

The Body Bakery

The Body Bakery is the BEST bakery I've ever been to. To bad its STRICTLY for your body. These delicious body desserts smell so good, they'll make you want to dip your fingers into the product and eat them! If I wasn't afraid of becoming dreadfully sick, I just might try it ;)

I first heard of the body bakery on Youtube. There were a few reviews, and I liked what I was hearing, so I decided to place an order. They arrived in 5 days, and I was soooo excited!! I ordered:

Whipped Cream -- Vanilla Coconut
Bedtime Balm -- Vanilla Pillowzzz
Lip Butter -- Rasberry Lemonade'

YUMMY!! I love vanilla, and the whipped cream is vanilla heaven! I was worried that the coconut would be over bearing in the mix, but the vanilla is clearly dominate. So, if you like Vanilla with a hint of Coconut, you'll LOVE it! The bedtime balm is great! I put it on before I go to bed, and when I wake up my lips are moist and soft. I keep a fan near my face, so this has done wonders! The Rasberry Lemonade' Lip Butter smells like someone just poured lemonade' all over my face, which is perfectly OKAY. Its a great lip conditioner, and adds subtle gloss to the lips.

The prices are a bit high, but the quality, and service is phenominal. Will I place another order? YES! I can't wait!!

A "Sorta" New Attitude

Well, its been a hot minute since I last updated. Life sure is HECTIC! I'm in school, working on getting into the advertising world. I know thats going to be hard, since I live in Munford, and the nearest big city is Birmingham, and that is 45 minutes away. ANYWHO...I no longer work at Deltacom. I am now a telemarketer for Hilton Head Guest Services. Its soo hard trying to sell people stuff over the phone, especially since I've never been to Hilton Head Island. I went down in pay again. I now make $6.55 an hour, however; for every sale you make your hourly pay can go up $1. PLUS, they pay every week. I HATE Bi-Weekly pay...IT SUCKS! lol.

Growing Up

A lot has happened in the past few weeks. For starters, I no longer work at the Anniston Army Depot, so my second job has become my only job! I resigned last Monday, and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I'm getting back control of my life, and I'm making things happen. I'm enrolled in Gadsden State Community College, and right now I will be taking English 101, US History I, Music Appreciation 101, Speech 106, Orientation 101, and Math 098. I'm taking 16 credit hours, but only 12 will actually count for anything. I'm going to take more next semester though. That math is a remedial course...OHHH I HATE MATH!! My ultimate goal is to get into The University of Alabama. I want to live the college life! I grew up around the campus, and the school amazes me! I want to transfer in the fall of 2009, so that I can work toward a degree in advertising. Everything is achievable, I just have to make moves, and make it happen. I'm getting focused though. I want ALL A's...No exceptions. I did HORRIBLE in high school, and I KNOW I can do so much better. All I have to do is study, and actually put forth the effort, and I'm willing to sweat for the A's. I got some major plans, and its time to get the ball rolling. If I would have stayed at the depot, I'd still be banging on stuff with a hammer, with no real purpose. God has bigger plans for me. I took a major pay cut, but its going to be alright. I got a pell grant, and that should cover enough. I'm going to save as much as possible before I transfer, even if its not to UA.

I Got a Second Job!!

I work as a Co-op student @ the army depot making $12.81 an hour, great right? Wrong! Since I'm a Co-op, I'm only allowed to have 35 hours every two weeks, and considering the costs of gas, and extra things, thats just not cutting it! I decided it was time for me to get another job a while ago, and filled out some applications a few weeks ago. I went for an interview today with ITC Deltacom (a telephone operator service) and got hired!

There I will be getting at least 20-32 hours every WEEK not two, and the best part is Deltacom gets paid the week that the depot doesn't, so I should be STRAIGHT! They pay $7.00 an hour, and at the end of each month you get evaluated, and if you did good that month, you'll get a $50 bonus on your next check, which is a pretty good incentive to do a good job. My mom thinks that I'm going to quite after a while, but we'll see. I start training August 11th, and I'm just ready to get the money rolling in! Hopefully I'll like the enviroment, and there won't be any problems. I am worried about working taking up allll of my time, but hopefully it won't.

Getting another job was so necessary because in the beginning, I was ballin, and now that I can't it sucks! I'm getting that SWAG up again, I'm tryna tell ya'll. lol. Plus, paypal keeps messing with my account, I'm about to act a nut on them! Anywho, there are some things that I'm going to have to get ASAP like a laptop, and a new AT&T cellphone, because Tmobile sucks around here, and I wouldn't be able to do this without another J.O.B.

The Total Package Challenge

The Total Package Challenge is a challenge that I am joining on Long Hair Care Forum. The challenge is all about positive change, and that is something I am passionate about. I find it hard to understand why people hate themselves, because anything that you dislike about yourself, you can change it! It may take some time, but you have a life time! I'm pretty sure I will be editing this as the challenge progresses, but right now, here is where I stand. I'm ready to take on the challenge!!

The Beginning of a new Jasmine

My name is Jasmine, and I am 18 years old. I must admit that this blog was a "I'm so bored" kinda thing, but we'll see what happens. I live in a really small town in Alabama called Munford. Saying that it is boring would be giving the town some justice. Its so frustrating seeing things prosper around your area, and your own town just became a city : ).

The reason why I am here is because I want to begin a new journey. I'm 18 now, for some reason I know soooo little about the things that intrigue me the most. I love reading magazines about beauty, and I Loooove going through the makeup isles in stores. I feel like I have been left behind, and I'm going to have to catch up! I named this blog So Exquisite because Exquisite is a word I use to describe myself all the time, mostly in a joking manner. lol. I'm ready to live up to the true meaning!

I am beginning a journey to improve my life, and enjoy it. I am on a hair journey to improve my hair, I am on a beauty journey to learn how to enhance my beauty, & I am on a style journey to upgrade my style.

Its time to up my swag!
